Accessibility Statement

The Open Doors Initiative is committed to making this website accessible in accordance with European Union (Accessibility of Websites and Mobile Applications of Public Sector Bodies) Regulations 2020 - S.I. No. 358/2020 and to ensuring this website is accessible to the widest possible audience, regardless of technology or ability.

This accessibility statement applies to opendoorsinitiative.ie

The website is partially compliant with the European standard Accessibility Requirements for ICT Products and Services (based on Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1) due to the non-compliances listed below.

Non-accessible Content

  1. Videos have not been checked with the Photosensitive Epilepsy Analysis Tool to identify seizure risks.
  2. The Buzz Sprout audio podcasts do not have the ability to control the volume of the podcast separate to the volume of the device and contain some non-compliant code.
  3. All forms have fields with valid labels except for within the Google translate tool which is outside our control
  4. When the spacing styles are added the home page banner is not compliant as it is not possible to extend the graphic or add a background colour as the graphic has a gradient.
